ShiftDelete.Net reported on 16 October 2026 that Loops AI, founded in 2025 by Ilker Selim Zorluoglu, Ari Nazir and Yusuf Bahadir, has raised a 3.5 million dollar seed round. The startup builds product search that lets shoppers describe what they need in everyday language instead of keywords or filters. The system matches the request against the brand's product data, real-time stock information and custom business rules.

  • Investors: Andreessen Horowitz (a16z Speedrun), NTT DOCOMO, Connecticut Innovations, Monday Capital and Alumni Ventures, plus angel investors from Netflix and Google.
  • The money will strengthen the engineering team and fund expansion abroad, starting with Japan. Later targets are Europe, beginning with Germany, and Southeast Asia.
  • The report names Mavi, Boyner, Petrol Ofisi and A101 Ekstra as brands Loops AI works with and also shares results from Wee Baby.
  • According to figures shared in the report, A101 Ekstra shoppers who used Loops AI had an 83 percent higher purchase conversion rate and a 77 percent higher add-to-cart rate than the control group.

Why it matters

On an online store, the search box is one of the first steps that decides whether a shopper finds the product. The results the report attributes to Turkish retailers offer one example of natural-language search affecting conversion. However, beyond the comparison with a control group, the report gives no detail such as the measurement period or sample size. Because the system matches requests against product and stock data, keeping that data up to date and well structured looks like a key precondition for businesses considering a similar setup.
