In short

On 5 November 2026 Google made its video model Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash generally available. Maximum clip length rose from 10 seconds in the previous version to 15 seconds, and Google says the price fell by 30 percent. Developers can use it in the Gemini API and businesses through Google Cloud.

Google made its video model Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash generally available on 5 November 2026. According to the announcement on Google's blog, written by Google DeepMind product manager Anish Nangia, the model can create video from scratch and also edit existing clips step by step through a conversation.

  • Clip length can be set from 3 to 15 seconds in one-second steps; the previous Omni 1.1 version stopped at 10 seconds.
  • Reference images of characters, products or styles, short motion clips of no more than three seconds and audio cues can steer the output; dialogue and lip-sync are improved.
  • Google says the price is 30 percent lower than Omni 1.1, quoting 0.07 dollars per second for 720p video.
  • Generated videos carry an invisible SynthID watermark.

Why it matters

The model is not limited to developers: it is also arriving in everyday tools such as Flow, Google Vids, the Gemini app and Google Ads. Google says 15-second clips in Google Vids are available at no additional cost with a Google account or Workspace subscription, while in the Gemini app the model is rolling out to Google AI Ultra subscribers. For companies that produce product demos, social media posts and ad creative, this could lower the cost of testing short video drafts. The announcement does not list regions, so teams in Türkiye may want to check access on their own account type.

Google also notes that work continues on fast sports action, sudden script changes and scenes with complex physics. It would therefore be sensible to have a person review generated clips before they are published.
