Why it matters

Chief financial officer Wendell Huang credited the quarter to strong demand for the company's most advanced process technologies and said TSMC expects that demand to continue in the fourth quarter, with 2nm production ramping up quickly. Continued demand for leading-edge capacity could keep supply planning important for companies buying servers, laptops and network equipment. For IT managers in Türkiye planning hardware refreshes or server projects for 2027, confirming delivery times and price quotes early could be a practical step.

  • Revenue grew 41.2% year over year in dollar terms.
  • Technologies of 7nm and below made up 79% of wafer revenue.
  • The company expects a fast ramp of 2nm production in the fourth quarter.
