Intel published its third-quarter 2026 results in a press release on 29 October 2026. Revenue rose 21% from a year earlier to 16.5 billion dollars. According to Intel, the data center and AI unit grew 78% to 7.3 billion dollars, which chief financial officer David Zinsner described as the strongest data center growth in 15 years.
- The Client Computing and Physical AI Group (CCPG) fell 5% to 8.1 billion dollars.
- Intel Foundry revenue rose 58% to 6.7 billion dollars.
- The company completed a 23 billion dollar public equity offering and announced plans to acquire Classiq to build a full-stack quantum computing platform.
- Intel announced a multiyear collaboration with Oracle to expand Xeon processors on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Why it matters
Intel chief executive Lip-Bu Tan said the company's most pressing task is bringing more supply online for the Xeon family, where demand is exceptionally high. Chief financial officer Zinsner expects weakness in the PC market to last at least until the middle of next year. Intel expects fourth-quarter revenue between 15 and 16 billion dollars. For companies in Türkiye planning server investments or PC refreshes, this could mean server processor supply stays tight for a while, so it may be wise to allow for delivery times in budget plans.
- Total revenue rose 21% to 16.5 billion dollars.
- Data center and AI revenue grew 78%, while the CCPG unit fell 5%.
- Fourth-quarter revenue guidance is 15 to 16 billion dollars.
